I have just updated my blog sites to WordPress 2.7 and upgraded my blog theme to the “Ultimate Blogging Theme 2.0” by Carl Ocab.
I had no problems upgrading WordPress to version 2.7. Just download the .zip file, extract to your hard drive, and then copy the files via FTP to your site. Once you go to your admin page then WordPress my have to updated it’s database. Just click on the “Upgrade” push button and your site is upgraded. I upgraded all three of my blogging sites and it was easy.
Next I upgraded my “Ultimate Blogging Theme” by Carl Ocab to version 2.0. Again, just download the new 2.0 version of the “Ultimate Blogging Theme” and save to your hard drive. Extract the .zip file and copy the “ultimate-blogging-theme_6-flavors” or “ultimate-blogging-theme_3-flavors” theme directory to your blog site using FTP.

I just purchased the “Ultimate Blogging Theme” by Carl Ocab for this blog site late last night. Carl has a video on the theme installation and I spent time watching the video and taking notes. Then I watched the video and performed the installation and setup, pausing the video until I got that step completed.
The installation went very well and I did not have any problems installing the theme. But, you have a lot more to do than just installing the theme! You have to add new categories (a list is included in the readme.txt file), setup your ad spots, and theme options. Then you have to install plug-ins and set them up.
Carl also provided a video on Search Engine Optimization (SEO), conversion tips and tricks, and the plug-ins that he uses. The readme file also has links to the not so common plug-ins that he mentions in his video. The theme is setup to use Feed Burner, so if you don’t have an account with Feed Burner then you will want to get one setup. I didn’t have an account setup at Feed Burner so I headed over to Feed Burner to set one up.
But I had problems getting my RSS feed

I came to work on Monday and booted up my computer. Next I brought up Visual Studio 2008 and opened my website that I was working on Friday (which worked fine with no errors). When the site opened up in Visual Studio it all of a sudden had 122 major errors in the site. I spent the rest of the day trying to fix the problems. I even rebooted my computer and created another new website so I could copy the existing code into the new site. No luck, still had all the errors. The major of the errors were due to the fact that forms could not find my classes. After messing with the site for the entire day, I finally gave up and went home.
Tuesday was a holliday, Veterans Day, and I returned to work on Wednesday. Mind you that I did not shut down my computer on Monday. So on Wednesday, I started up Visual Studio 200 again and opened up my website. To my amazement, I had no errors and the site worked fine. I could then proceed to develop more forms and everything is working fine.
But, what happened? No changes from Monday afternoon to Wednesday
