Aspose Total Q4 Update!
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I downloaded today the Q4 update for Aspose Total for .NET. I attempted to install the new updated software and found out that I had to first uninstall Aspose Total for .NET first! Why? Why can’t the installer over write their own files?
Uninstalling a software package is one thing, uninstalling Aspose Total for .NET is another. Why? Because you have to uninstall seventeen (17) components, each with it’s own uninstall program. If Aspose requires the uninstall of its package then why not have just one program that will uninstall all components at once?
So after the uninstall of seventeen (17) programs, I next have to install Aspose Total for .NET. And you guessed it, seventeen (17) separate install programs. They do have one install program that starts the installs of all seventeen (17) programs but you still have seventeen screens to accept the license, seventeen screens to install for everyone or just the current user, seventeen screens to accept the install location, seventeen screens to start the install process, and finally seventeen screens to close the install program.
Come on Aspose! For a $2000 program, can’t you develop one install program and one uninstall program?
